Can you believe it’s December! Where has this year gone? I feel like the older I get, the quicker the years go, please tell me I’m not the only one who feels like that. It really feels like winter and Christmas here in the UK now that the weather has turned rather chilly and my first bout of illness sinks in. What’s winter without a good old cold and sore throat to match!
I’m not going to give you some drawn out post as to why I’ve not been keeping up with this blog, you all pretty much know the drill and that 2016 hasn’t really been my year. However I’m looking forward to 2017 and all the adventures that it will hopefully bring and I’m feeling reinvigorated to blog and take this little corner of the internet along for the ride.
Last year I did not feel Christmasy in the slightest, which was a bit of a downer as I’m usually the first to want to get my tree up and get the maximum use out of my xmas jumper. This year I’m super excited already and it’s only the 1st, so let the holiday celebrations and prep commence.
I’m writing this wrapped in a cosy cardi, harboring germs and downing green tea like there’s no tomorrow in the hope that I’ll get on top of this illness stat. Ain’t nobody got time for illness, not in December anyway. I thought I’d start each month off a little different with kind of like an editors letter from me to you to give you a rough idea of the months theme and what you can expect from BLM.
So December, December, December. Where to begin, well obviously we’ll be discussing all about the festivities. How to prep for parties, decorating and the BIG day itself, as well as gift lists, wish lists and some nifty little DIYs. Who know’s I may even throw in a few printables. Amongst all of that I’ll be sharing my secrets forgetting in the festive spirit, how to survive the festive period and taking care of yourself in what is inevitably a stressful and hectic season.
Over on the YouTube channel, I’m hoping to start getting content back up and running weekly. I would have loved to have done vlogmas, but I’m far too dull for that plus I work full time so no one wants to see me sat at a desk all day in front of a computer. That doesn’t mean I won’t be vlogging on weekends where I can though!
So who’s ready for Christmas? I’m excited to share the festivities with you 🙂
