I don’t know about you, but I’m just not feeling ‘it’ this year. This is my second year of not feeling ‘it’ and by ‘it’ I mean Christmassy. Whether it’s because I’m getting older and adulting more or just the fact that for me November and December are the busiest months of the year who knows. Normally I love Christmas and can’t wait to get involved in the festivities but it’s been a bit ‘meh’ the last few.
Christmas isn’t Christmas without a good Christmas themed jumper. Whether you like the more reserved, tasteful jumpers or full out Christmas just spewed all over me jumpers, these picks will have you covered from all angles.
Can you believe it’s December! Where has this year gone? I feel like the older I get, the quicker the years go, please tell me I’m not the only one who feels like that. It really feels like winter and Christmas here in the UK now that the weather has turned rather chilly and my first bout of illness sinks in. What’s winter without a good old cold and sore throat to match!
I know, I know it may seem a tad early to be talking about Christmas, but the weather has taken more of an Autumnal turn this week. Plus the shops are slowly starting to get the Christmas gift sets in, so I feel it’s kind of acceptable to start talking about Christmas. If you’re a fellow blogger then read on to find out how you can get involved in a Christmas gift swap!
It’s around this time of year, when the focus is heavily on the preparation for Christmas, that I like to bring people’s thoughts back to those who are less fortunate than themselves. Christmas is known as a jolly season, with time spent overindulging, (food, gifts and spending) with loved ones and having a merry old time, but sadly this isn’t the case for everyone. For some Christmas brings a harsh reminder of the things in life they lack and can pose as a lonely and depressing time. Here are a few ways that you can make a difference this Christmas and give a little something back, after all Christmas is the season of giving.
Hope you all have a fab Christmas. I will be back blogging tomorrow and have lots of lovely things planned to share with you all in the new year.
Enjoy the holidays everyone! Till next time Bellas 🙂
Sometimes we can all get a bit lost in the wonders of Christmas with our focus being on finding the perfect outfit, getting gifts for everyone and making sure everything is perfect for Christmas day. It can be easy to forgot about those less fortunate than ourselves, we at this time of year may not be looking forward to Christmas. There are some people where Christmas is a lonely and depressing time of year because they face the prospect of Christmas without food or shelter. So why not do something differnt this year and give the gift of giving back with these ideas.
Back on the Christmas posts and I don’t know about anyone else, but I find the boyfriend and male family members the hardest people to buy for. More often than not they have all the gadgets and never have a clue what they want when you ask them for a list. After much research I’ve come up with a list to help those of you that are really stumped on what to buy (from left to right):
Christmas isn’t Christmas without having some delightful home baked treats. The smell of fresh cookies and cupcakes wafting through the house makes the house feel warm and inviting, whilst hinting that Christmas food preparation is well under way. Christmas is a wonderful time where we can all indulge in plentiful sumptuous sweet treats so here are a few of my favourites.
I thought now was an appropriate time to start the gift ideas and Christmas related posts, what with the big event itself being less than a month away. A scary fact for those of us who are unorganised and haven’t even started the Christmas shopping yet (myself included). So to help those less organised or those who are stuck for ideas. So here’s my top picks for stocking fillers for her under £15:
