I know, I know it may seem a tad early to be talking about Christmas, but the weather has taken more of an Autumnal turn this week. Plus the shops are slowly starting to get the Christmas gift sets in, so I feel it’s kind of acceptable to start talking about Christmas. If you’re a fellow blogger then read on to find out how you can get involved in a Christmas gift swap!
This post is going to be quite a frank, honest post on my thoughts on what blogging has become and where I see it heading in 2016. Blogging initially came about because people preferred the honesty and rawness that came with blogging to the glossy, highly edited features we were seeing everyday in magazines.
This whole thought process around the blogging world was sparked last Sunday when I was doing my usual routine of sitting in bed, waiting for the other half to wake up watching YouTube videos. Two particularly struck a chord with me. I won’t name them but they are bloggers that I can honestly say were the ones that got me into blogging and I’ve always loved their content, until recently.
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to get invited to the Bloggers Love Fashion Week Day 2 event held in East London and hosted by The Bloggers Hub. With a gifting lounge, fashion show and plenty of sweet treats on hand it was by far one of my favourite Bloggers Love events. For any new or established bloggers it’s a great event to attend to meet like-minded people and get to work with some amazing brands.
As mentioned in my previous post I thought I’d share my tips on getting your blogging mojo back. I’ve recently had a break from blogging and thought I’d use the time away wisely to step back, re-evaluate and refocus the direction of this blog. Sometimes you just feel the need to step back from your blog to properly analyse it, especially when you’re not feeling enthusiastic towards the content you’ve created.
On Tuesday I popped along to the Gossip Girl themed Bloggers Love Fashion Week gifting lounge. For those of you who don’t know Bloggers Love host events similar to this every time fashion week rolls around to allow bloggers the chance to celebrate and mingle with brands. It’s also a huge platform for bloggers to share advice as well as work with brands. Despite some negativity towards the night, I had an enjoyable evening meeting some fellow bloggers and chatting to brands.
I’ve become a little obsessed with Bloglovin lately. I have the app on my phone and check my feed daily, simply because I love seeing what other people are posting about and weirdly enough reading other people’s blogs actually relaxes me. I’m adding more and more blogs to follow each day on there so I thought I’d share the love both with you all and with other bloggers by sharing a round-up of my favourite posts from the past week.
